On the Weigh Less Program you work with a specific consultant who will help you work through these key issues to design the exact plan which will give you the results you desire. Changing Your Behaviour:The first essential element of the program is to look at your behaviour, understand the reasons behind your current eating habits and to know what is not working! The program will challenge and support you to change your behaviour. Essentially, this is about replacing bad habits for new healthier habits which will define and create your success. The program is a system of continuous assessment which forces you to understand and acknowledge your existing behaviours. In turn, this drives you to make positive changes to effect better results, which creates better habits. The function of the Weigh Less Consultant is to help you define the changes that you want, support you by providing educational tools and guide you to maintain your personal momentum and motivation. Through the Weigh Less program you understand, you learn, you change and you create better habits which inevitably lead to positive life changes and a system that guarantees that you will maintain your weight loss and continue to take action for lasting improvement. Food PlanThere are no false promises here. You are required to monitor your food intake. However, the Weigh Less program food plan is simple. You are allowed foods from all food groups; there is no elimination of carbohydrates, there are no supplements and starvation is not a requirement! On completion of an assessment you will be given a daily calorie intake tailored to your individual requirements. This is continually assessed as you lose weight and as you progress through the program. Part of the assessment takes account of your individual lifestyle as everyone is different! Where a participant requires it we devise an individual eating plan for you on a week to week basis. With your Weigh Less Consultant you will learn the importance of the type of food you eat, the time you eat it, how often you eat and portion sizes, all key factors for contributing to your success on your Food Plan. Activity & FitnessThe key element here is to review your current levels of activity and fitness. This is then related to what you want to achieve. The Weigh Less program gradually introduces light exercise for beginners. The Weigh Less program also assesses existing exercise programs for participants to ensure that they are maximising the benefits for weight loss, fitness and general wellbeing. Your Weigh Less Consultant will tailor a plan to suit your needs, your lifestyle, your fitness levels and your ultimate goal. Your activity and fitness plan is continually assessed throughout the program. In addition to the standard program, Weigh Less offer the support of Personal Fitness Trainers to develop and support a tailored program for clients who want to accelerate their weight loss as they go through the program* Health & MedicalYour health is of primary concern in any Weigh Less Program. Before you commence the program your Weigh Less Consultant will assess your BMI, % of Body Fat, Blood Pressure and Heart Rate. These are basic measurements used to assess parameters under which your program is designed. You will also be given a Health Questionnaire to complete to ensure that your underlying medical history is not at risk while you are on our program* It is an absolute requirement that all applicants and participants are totally honest about existing or developing Medical Status and that Weigh Less are advised of any known Health issues. *If there are aspects of your health which may be at risk we can obtain guidance and fitness clearance from your treating Consultant or GP.
