Services - > Risk Assessment What is risk assessment? This is a process which involves identification of hazards present within the workplace, assessment of the level of risk involved and evaluation of the control measures necessary to prevent risks occurring. The Health and Safety Authority Ireland (HSA) defines a hazard as something which has the potential to cause harm and defines risk as the likelihood of the hazard occurring. Why do I need to undertake risk assessment?Risk assessment is required under Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, section 19 and section 20, and is an essential tool in the development of risk management strategies. How can HealthForce help you?HealthForce can carry out risk assessment within your organisation or arrange audit of your present risk management strategies in line with current legislation.
