What is the aim of health promotion?

Health Promotion enables and empowers individuals to take charge of their own health and the quality of their lives. The workplace has been identified as a key setting in which to promote health and employers can make a major contribution to influencing the health of its workers and prevent illness and injury that will impact on the employee’s job and the overall productivity of the organisation.
