How can HealthForce help?

HealthForce can establish a sickness absence procedure detailing referral criteria to an occupational health professional.

An occupational health professional will review employees and establish an accurate medical history, discuss any concerns and make recommendations regarding the employee’s progress and management, with a view to a full and safe return to work.

The occupational health professional will examine medical findings during the review process, interpret reports from other care providers e.g. GP and evaluate the employee’s health in relation to the job requirements through assessment of the workplace.

HealthForce will provide the employer with a case by case conference and report outlining:

  • Updates in general absence figures
  • Individual employee absence status and potential progress
  • Recommendations for return to work e.g. restrictions/rehabilitation
  • Advice and assistance regarding ill-health retirement where applicable
